Looking carefully

We don’t need to walk far! Kay sent these pictures, taken in her home and garden.  'All the plants cut back , frogs and newts hibernating. Ice will no doubt form as the weather gets colder. We wait for the spring when it will all come back to exciting new life. There is always hope when God is at work.'

Kay spotted a ladybird hibernating in her ornament of a church on the windowsill. This poem reminds us to look after all living things.

Hurt no living thing by Christina Rossetti

  Hurt no living thing:

     Ladybird, nor butterfly,

  Nor moth with dusty wing,

     Nor cricket chirping cheerily,

Nor grasshopper so light of leap,

Nor dancing gnat, nor beetle fat,

  Nor harmless worms that creep.
