We light the candle of Joy
Ah, joy! Come with lightness, come with laughter!
Stop us from our being too self important.
Surprise us,
lift us out of worry and gloom.
Generous God, give us joy this Christmas,
joy for the giving away;
be born in us, we pray. Amen
