We light the candle of Peace
When fear prowls the night and anxieties crowd the day
peace is a half-remembered gentleness, of kinder times.
We light this candle for peace,
peace in our minds, peace in our homes, peace in our world.
God of grace, make us safe in ourselves
that we might be safe space for others.
Be born in us, we pray. Amen.
